About
Born in 1970 in Istanbul, Pınar Kalkavan Sesel received her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul University. Sesel also successfully completed the International Business Program at Istanbul University Harvard Business School and the Ship Management course at London City College. For more than 23 years, Pınar Kalkavan Sesel has been working in the maritime sector by operating and chartering ships under the roof of Hkalkavan Shipping, and has also been actively serving the Turkish maritime industry by participating in maritime non-governmental organizations. Sesel is one of the founding members of the Ship Brokers Association (GBD) and has also served as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of GBD. Pınar Kalkavan Sesel, member of the Chamber of Shipping (IMEAK DTO), is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Association of Turkish Coaster Owners and Operators (KOSDER) since March 2021, the only non-governmental organization representing coaster vessels in Turkey. She is a board member of the Turkish Naval Education Foundation (TÜDEV).She is also actively involved in Non-Governmental Organizations working in the public interest.

Cihan Ergenc, born in Pazar, Rize, is the Chairman of Er Denizcilik AS as the ship-owning and operating arm of ER Group and, is the president of the Turkish Shipowners Association. He received his business degree at Sacred Heart University in the United States. Cihan Ergenc is a member of the Chamber of Shipping (IMEAK DTO) and is currently serving as a committee member. He is also a member of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkish Sectoral Council and a member of the Board of Trustees of Piri Reis University.
Begüm Nergiz Birben

About
Born in 1992 in Istanbul, Begüm Birben received her master’s degree in Maritime Law from City, University of London after completing her undergraduate education at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law. Birben has been working at Unimarin Shipping for 6 years, where she is responsible for maritime managements and operations. In addition to being a member of the Istanbul Bar Association since 2016, she is also a member of the Turkish Shipowners' Association. She has been actively working as the Secretary General of the Association of Turkish Coaster Owners and Operators (KOSDER) since March 2021.
Hüseyin Çınar

About
Hüseyin ÇINAR graduated from the Naval Academy in 1989. He served as a Branch and Division Head, Executive Officer on destroyer and frigate type ships in the Navy and commanded TCG Yavuz. From 2002 to 2004, he took a master degree at Naval War College. And he got complementary education at the Armed Forces Academy.
From 2006 to 2007, he studied for a master's degree in management and organization at Beykent University. He retired in 2014 after completion of Regimental Commander of the Naval Academy Post.
He has been working as the Secretary General of the Turkish Shipowners' Association since 2015.
He is married with Melda and has a son.
Hakan Çendik

Hakan Çendik is the founder of Angora Shipping. His maritime adventure started with his third degree entry to the deck department of Istanbul Maritime Vocational High School in 1987. After graduating from a maritime vocational high school in 1990, he served as a deck officer and first officer on commercial ships for two years. Setting his mind to maritime education, Hakan first graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Maritime Faculty - Martime Business and Managaments department. Later on, he got his master's degree from Istanbul University's Institute of Marine Sciences - maritime Economics.Between 1997 and 2004, he worked as a manager for Maritime and Ship ownership companies. In 2004, Hakan established Angora Shipping with the decision to set up his own business. With the investments made in 2004, the experiences and activities of shipowners continue until today. Hakan Çendik has worked for many non-governmental organizations in the maritime sector. He is a founder member of the Turkish Ship Brokers Association (GBD). Hakan has also been a founding member of the Association of Coaster Ship owners and Operators (KOSDER), as well as being a member of the board of directors, secretary general and vice president. In addition, Hakan was elected as a member of the Chamber of maritime commerce (IMEAK DTO) and a member of the board of directors. He is also a board member of the Turkish Naval Education Foundation (TÜDEV).
Teoman Mustafa Akyol

About
Born in 1973 in Istanbul, Teoman Mustafa Akyol received him bachelor's degree in Ship machinery Managemanet Engineering from Technical University. Akyol also successfully completed the International Management Program at Anadolu University . For more than 10 years, Teoman Mustafa AKYOL has been working in the maritime sector by operating and chartering ships under the roof of VENTO Shipping, and has also been actively serving Turkish maritime industry in maritime non-governmental organizations. Akyol also serves the second president of the Turkish Maritime Federation. He is currently serving as Board Member of the Association of Turkish Coaster Owners and Operators (KOSDER), the only non-governmental organization representing coaster vessels in Turkey, since March 2021.
Sedat Dumlu

About
Sedat Dumlu received his bachelor's degrees in Radio, TV and Cinema from Erciyes University and in Business Administration from Anadolu University. He then completed his master's degree at Marmara University Interpersonal Communication Program with a thesis on the wives and children of seafarers working overseas. Having worked in various positions in national and international media organizations, Dumlu has been working as Press Consultant at the Coaster Shipowners and Operators Association (KOSDER) since 2017. Dumlu also continues to work as the Chief Editorial Coordinator of Coaster Magazine published by KOSDER.

Nurbanu CAMCI was born in Istanbul/Beykoz in 1991. She graduated from Yeditepe University -Faculty of Education ‘English Language Teaching’ in 2014. In 2015, she continued her education at the Department of Educational Management and Supervision of the Institute of Educational Sciences. During this period, she continued her business life as an English teacher for 8 years. As of 01.07.2022, she continues as an Executive Assistant.
